This week at Standard Market, you can bring home more than just bacon—you can bring home bacon wrapped dates, bacon cheddar chive scones, a bacon wrapped meatloaf dinner for two, Carmella’s Bistro bacon jam, &Popcorn bourbon bacon caramel corn, Kettle maple bacon potato chips, Big Fork bacon sausage, and much more.
Check out this week’s Hot Sheet for a variety of bacon-focused sales, including our very own Marketmade bacon, smoked in-house.*
This will be the first appetizer to disappear at a cocktail party—we know from experience! Stand full or half pieces of the bacon up in a glass jar for a Pinterest-worthy presentation. Alternatively, serve it alongside scrambled eggs and toast for a jazzed up breakfast spread.
1 lb Marketmade sliced bacon
¾ cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
2–3 tablespoons maple syrup
Preheat oven to 375°F. Place a wire rack on top of a sheet pan and lay the bacon slices side by side on top of the rack, making sure it doesn’t overlap.
Combine brown sugar and Dijon in a medium sized bowl. Add maple syrup until the mixture reaches a consistency that you can brush it on the bacon. Using a pastry brush, evenly distribute half the brown sugar among the top of each bacon slice. Flip bacon and brush with remaining brown sugar mixture.
Bake bacon until very crisp, about 25–30 minutes. Let cool before serving.
