Grilling for the Weekend

Grilling for the Weekend Grilling outside the box

Memorial Day weekend is upon us! Take the celebration outdoors by feeding the ones you love using the most popular backyard cooktop: the grill.
Grill It All
Not all guacs are created equal, and this particular recipe has an added level of char-acter supplied by the heat of the grill and the natural sugars of the produce.
Grilled Pineapple Guacamole
1/2 pineapple, chopped into rings
4 avocados, halved with pits removed
1 lime, halved
1 clove garlic, minced
1 jalapeño, sliced in half with seeds removed
1/8 cup cilantro
A dash of cumin
1/2 tsp sea salt
-Turn on the grill. Slice up pineapple, lime and jalapeño and brush lightly with olive oil.
-Place on the grill. After about 3-5 minutes flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until heated through.
-Dice and mince lime, garlic, jalapeño, cilantro, and pineapple. Cut up avocado and mash slightly, then add the grilled produce and stir. Pair with Standard Marketmade tortilla or pita chips!
A New Way to Steak
For all the veggie fans, or those looking to keep their waistlines in-line for the summer months, try out the trendy new food sensation sweeping the nation: Cauliflower Steaks.

Grilled Cauliflower Steaks
-Take 1 head of cauliflower and slice it across into thick slices (should end up with two large steaks)
-Season each steak as you’d like (we recommend a sprinkling of olive oil, flaky sea salt and fresh cracked pepper, or a little chili powder and lime!) and start up the grill
-Place steaks on the grill and close the lid
-Cook for 5-6 minutes, flip, then close lid again for another 5 minutes. Serve with Marketmade sides!
Fruitful Grilling

Whether you pronounce it La-Croy or La-Kwah, there’s no denying that La Croix sparkling water is the perfect vehicle for fresh(ly grilled) fruit.
Time to turn on the grill and turn up the flavor!
Grilled Fruit Garnish
-Choose your fruit: cherries, peaches, plums, pineapples, strawberries, and kiwi make great choices. Slice fruit and remove any unnecessary pits and seeds
-Brush oil on fruit and place on a clean grill. If you’re concerned about the fruit falling through the grate, feel free to add a layer of aluminum foil
-Cook until heated through and grill marks appear.
-Add fruit slices to chilled low ball glasses filled with ice. Slowly top with you favorite flavor of La Croix. Don’t forget the straw!
