At Standard Market, we are committed to sourcing products from Chicago-area and Midwestern producers and growers. As a local company ourselves, we support local food artisans, build direct relationships with those who make the food, and reduce the need for long distance transportation of products. The Market is proud to feature—in addition to all the products we make in-house daily—a wide selection of products crafted or grown by purveyors within 300 miles of the Market.
Being local, we understand the importance of supporting local producers and growers. All of our local suppliers have a story, and their creations were born from a passion for quality ingredients and flavors. We are dedicated to bringing these local, lovingly crafted or grown products to your table and joining together in a celebration of food. Come by Standard Market and discover something new, local, and delicious today!
Here is an ever-growing list of our local purveyors who offer delights produced, raised, or grown within 300 miles of Standard Market:
BUTCHER SHOP
In the Butcher Shop, all of our USDA Prime and Choice beef is sourced from local processor Aurora Angus Beef, 21 miles down I-88 in North Aurora, Ill. In turn, Aurora Beef sources all of its livestock from within 150 miles of its facilities, reducing animal stress and guaranteeing the best tasting beef. We also source 100% grass-fed beef from Clear Creek Farm and Cattle from Rochester, IL. We buy and butcher entire cows from Clear Creek, which means that in addition to creating a lower-waste system by using the whole animal, we offer unusual cuts that you can’t find elsewhere.
